Are gel nail products safe for children? 💅

Dr. Jeffrey Morrison, our AAEM President, recently discussed some important research findings regarding gel nail use for kids. While they might look pretty, there are potential concerns to consider before painting little nails with gels.

📌 Opt for non-toxic, water-based nail polishes that are free from harmful chemicals.
📌 Skip UV/LED curing by choosing regular polish instead of gel.
📌 Give the nails time to “breathe” by limiting how often they’re painted or leaving them bare in between.
