STUDIO CLIENTS:
Thanks for bearing with me this week, and for continuing to do so as I find out what’s exactly happening to my body. I’m sorry for canceled lessons, I’m sorry for shortened sessions, I’m sorry for my slow responses and distracted nature. My health is failing me, but I’m trying my best. Please don’t give up on me, or our lessons. I love teaching and coaching - and it’s one of the few joys in my life right now.
Thanks for sticking with me, and my damn tumor.

Playwright, educator and musician dedicated to keeping remarkable women from history alive on stage.
Playwright, director, actor, pianist, vocal and acting coach.
Days like today make me think of Muriel Gardiner, and my Bernadette. Grateful to everyone who has helped tell their story.
VIRTUAL TEACHER AND TECHIE FRIENDS, HELP?!?!
my vocal student in the UK is not hearing my piano thru any apps (zoom, whatsapp, jitsi) during lessons. not one. BUT she can hear my piano if I record a video or audio track and then send that file to her.
all of MY zoom settings (which we tried today) are programmed to the latest software for this type of thing, as far as I can tell.
THIS IS THE ONLY CLIENT I HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH.
can ANYONE help us troubleshoot? she says the sound of the piano starts and then disappears. as she is my only client experiencing it (and it’s NOT an international issue, I know for a fact), I am at a loss for the cause.
anyone? bueller???

The talent in JELLY’S LAST JAM is unending. I have never seen tap like that in my life. I might be biased, but this one was my favorite part!
So proud of you, Jordan Stephens!!!!!!!!!
My student, Jordan Stephens, has worked her BUTT off the last few years with me in the studio. Her breath control, tone and confidence have all grown. Teaching Jordan has been an absolute joy, and I cannot begin to express how proud I am of her today. On stage with all these legends!? So proud.
LITTLE WARS is getting its Indian debut at Christ University, Bangalore! Just one performance, but best of wishes to the cast and crew!
Highly recommend Netflix's documentary about Jon Batiste's American Symphony, and his wife Suleika Jaouad's struggle with cancer. It's very powerful, and humbling to see a great musician like Jon taking something as simple as piano lessons.... It's a beautiful doc.
I had the pleasure of a Zoom session with the lovely cast and crew of LITTLE WARS at Brighton Little Theatre Co today. I so wish I could get across the pond and see their production live, but I’ll be able to watch a video thankfully! They’re all so excited to be working on it, and the enthusiasm in the room really made my day. Hope they’re having a blast in rehearsals!
Back in the Big 🍎 and the studio is open! Book your first session today and save $10, or book four in advance and get a fifth free!
Reach out today. It’s never too late to find your voice or play the piano!

Bawds gives a huge thanks to the author of LITTLE WARS, Steven Carl McCasland for all of his encouragement and support through out the production. Fantastic that he flew all the way from NYC to see the show.

Embracing the power of storytelling during Banned Books Week!
📕
This Banned Books Week, let's celebrate the freedom to read and the courage to challenge censorship! Did you know that "The Rabbit's Wedding" by Garth Williams was once banned? It's a charming and timeless children's book that teaches us about friendship and unity, and yet it faced controversy simply because it depicted the marriage between two adorable rabbits of different colors.
📘
On October 20th, we are opening the thought-provoking play "Alabama Story," which touches upon censorship, civil rights, and the power of literature. This play centers around the controversy surrounding "The Rabbit's Wedding" and the folks who fought for it.
📙
Join us in supporting the arts and the freedom of expression! Let's cherish the stories that inspire us, challenge our perspectives, and encourage us to embrace diversity. Mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable night at Pensacola Little Theatre! Let's stand together for the love of books and the right to read them!
