We are looking for new volunteers!

As part of our mentorship program we looking for new volunteers to be involved in our showcase in March 2025.

This opportunity is open to anyone interested in gaining experience in dance and disability.

You will work to support our community group of learning disabled adults with rehearsals on Wednesdays from 15th of January to 19th March 2025.
You will then perform with the company on Sunday the 23rd of March.

We will also provide a small series of bespoke mentoring sessions for these volunteers.

Please do pass this on to anyone that might be interested and send your expression of interest to us via [email protected] by 06 January 2025.

‘Here More’ collected the voices and stories of disabled people living in Norfolk to create a thought provoking performance.

This project was split into different phases.

Phase one: We created specialised workshops that offered participants a creative outlet for self-expression. Weekly sessions took place in rural residential care homes and community hubs in Norfolk. Each session provided disabled participants a physically uplifting experience which encouraged and supported individuals to share their feelings and stories.

We worked alongside musician David Ross, who captured audio sounds and voices from each place and person involved in the project. The recordings were then transformed into a textured soundscape which beautifully captured the process of the movement workshops.

Phase two: Our participants came together to create a performance that was shared at Stage 2 Theatre in Norwich, using the ideas, themes and a sound-score that were developed in phase one.

We’ll be sharing a snippet of the Live performance of Here More soon, so keep an eye out for that!
