Great work! The current Commissioners that were present proposed a budget with no increase.

No Millage Increase In Proposed 2024 Abington Township Budget If the 2024 budget is adopted as it stands, it will mark the third year without the township increasing property taxes.

The Township of Abington Board of Commissioners is seeking interested members of the public to serve on the Township's newly created Economic Development Corporation. Potential applicants must be of full age and a Township resident, property owner, and/or conduct business in the Township as prescribed by the Board of Commissioners. Members are expected to be available, at minimum, for quarterly meetings of the Corporation.

The Township of Abington is substantially amending its FY 2022 Annual Action Plan to reallocate unused CDBG funds to a new activity. This is considered a substantial amendment in accordance with the Township’s Citizen Participation Plan. The plan is currently on public display through October 31, 2023.

A public hearing will be held on October 18, 2023 at 10 AM at the Township Building, 1176 Old York Road, Board Room, Abington, PA 19001 and by virtual conference call.

The FY 2024 Preliminary Proposed Budget that is being introduced and presented at the October 12, 2023 Board of Commissioners Working Session does not propose a tax increase or an increase in refuse or sewer fees. Property and business tax rates are proposed to remain the same. Below is the proposed budget schedule.
