I am so pleased to see the light poles being installed at the West Side field.
I stayed persistent about this project because it is important for Kaplan’s recreation success that affects so many of our residents.

I had a wonderful time attending the Lafayette Kiwanis Club meeting, yesterday. Their guest speaker was Louisiana Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. He provided important and very interesting information to help restore Louisiana’s revenue, following the need for long-term recovery from the pandemic and many natural disasters. A few of the things he focused on promoting was Louisiana’s festivals, tourism, state park enhancements, and our seafood industry, which would provide many benefits for communities throughout the state. I was honored when he told me that he is so impressed with my retirement plan for Kaplan, that he actually uses what I did as an example for other towns and cities in our great state. 🥰 Thank you, Lt. Governor Nungesser, for all that you do for Louisiana and its residents.

A few members of my team and I had a great time supporting Maltrait Memorial Catholic School’s Spring Bazaar yesterday. Even though it was cold, it was a beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with many friends and Kaplan residents. Please don’t forget that early voting began yesterday, and continues through Saturday, March 19, 2022. Election Day is Saturday, March 26, 2022. I respectfully ask for your vote. At today’s farmers market I won these two beautiful Easteryard displays. They are designed by Sherry Brasseaux. I will always support small businesses and the vendors who depend on farmers markets to sell their products.

Had a GREAT DAY !! LOVE MY FAMILY & FRIENDS who make up my team. Celebrating Mardi Gras was so special. Walking and visiting with people was overwhelming. Our Kaplan Mardi Gras is rich in tradition and I’m so happy our parade continues to roll.
