IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Arrived Nigeria For His Parents Burial, But His Location Is Still Hidden.

Mazi Namdi Kanu, the Nigerian-British political activist and the leader of the proscribed IPOB has returned to the country for his Parents burial and is currently in an undisclosed hotel in Abia State. The news was confirmed and posted by Mystatenews.com.

According to Mystatenews.com, Kanu arrived Nigeria on February 13th 2020 and will be available for his parents burial.

You will recall that Emma Powerful, the Spoke person of IPOB Earlier stated that there were plans to destabilize the burial ceremony.

"We are not going to disclose our security arrangements because they are many enemies who wish to destroy or destabilize every effort made for the successful burial of this father and mother of our leader" He said.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu fulfills promise, completes section of Lagos-Badagry ExpresswayA newly constructed section of Lagos-Badagry Highway was, on Friday, declared open for public use by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu fulfilling the promise made at inception of his administration. 

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu led members of cabinet to Lagos-Badagry Expressway to open the completed section, while also declaring the commencement of construction work on the Phase II of the project, which will take off from Trade Fair to the main gate of the LASU Iba.



The Gov promised to deliver the Agege-Pen Cinema Bridge July this year.





RECALL: Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited the site (June 2019) to assess the level of work on the abandoned project. He promised to mobilised the contractor handling the project back on site, while also pledging to complete the stretch before January, this year.







Fire Gutted David Mack Residence In Benue

The residence of a former Senate President, David Mark, in Otukpo town, Benue State was gutted by fire on Thursday.

Witnesses said the fire spread from a nearby bush bordering the fence of the ex-senate president’s residence and burnt down two ambulance vehicles as well as over 15 motor cycles parked in the premises.

It was gathered that domestic workers at the residence made frantic efforts to put out the fire without much success before the arrival of the State Fire Service in Otukpo.

One of the domestic workers, who preferred anonymity, said, “we made every effort to quench the fire but the more we tried the more it continued to spread.

“It was when we noticed that we could not stop it from engulfing the guest house that we called in the Fire Service.”



At the time of this report, however, none of the family members has yet commented on the matter even as it was learnt that Mark himself was away from home.

President Muhammad Buhari to divide Nigeria into it's original units immediately



Leader of a leading Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to, without further delay, break the country into its original units if he does not want to restructure.

Adebanjo told the Sun that anarchy looms in the country.

He emphasized that the constitution foisted on the people had been the cause of the nation’s problems.

The elder statesman said that Nigeria should be broken so that each group goes to its place and enjoy peace.

According to him, there has been disobedience to rule and illegal detention of persons who speak out against the government of the day.

“When a court gives an instruction, and you don’t obey; when you ask people to be detained without trial, you obstruct the rule of law? That is unfortunate,” Adebanjo said.

“We are moving towards anarchy, except we want to deceive ourselves. The court that is supposed to be the sanctuary of the common man has been desecrated, and yet the people who should protest keep quiet. We are already in anarchy.

“Have I not been vindicated? I have not changed from that position at all. Anarchy has taken over in this country.

“We must return the country to true federalism, where the regions should be autonomous, and let everybody be ruled according to the dictate of his place, then, this culture of autocracy and authority over everybody would be stopped.

“It is because of this culture of autocracy that the president doesn’t want to do anything to change the constitution.

“Since the president doesn’t want to go back to a constitution we agreed on at independence, it is better everybody goes to his area and enjoy peace.

“I have said it and I have challenged him and he has not denied, and I said why should he hesitate to go back to the constitution we had at independence, which was approved by Azikiwe, Awolowo and Sardauna, and I said, he can never be more intelligen

The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit at the weekend demolished over 2,500 illegal structures comprising shanties, kiosks and containarised shops in the Lekki Waterside area of the state.

The structures were demolished during an enforcement exercise carried out by the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit.

Before the exercise, the structures were occupied by business operators including iron benders, mechanics, food/fruits vendors and others who were issued a seven-day “Removal Notice” by the state government to remove their property and vacate the entire area.

The notice expired last Thursday and this ushered in the demolition exercise.

The Chairman of the Agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, said the exercise was carried out to prepare for the construction of a coastal road which would serve as an alternative route for the Lekki-Epe Expressway and enhance free flow of traffic on that corridor.

He said the area was an eye-sore as the occupants littered the environment with refuse and waste materials.

According to him, an investigation conducted by the agency revealed that none of the occupants have an operational permit from the state government as miscreants freely smoke and sell Indian h**p as well as engage in prostitution around residential premises.

The task force chairman said after the expiration of the removal order, the government still gave the occupants an additional eight days grace to vacate the entire area before embarking on the clean-up exercise and clampdown on all criminal elements disturbing law-abiding residents of Marwa waterside and the entire Lekki axis.

He implored all illegal occupants on any of the government lands/property to immediately vacate the same as it would not be business as usual across the state.
