This guitar is a love letter to the amazing guitar designs of 80’s rock & metal that I love and grew up with. The main symbol on the top is the monogram I designed and use for my own music under the name Chucker.

Assembly day!
Pickup mounted directly into the body! 🤘🏻😎
Winding and wiring pickups.
Today was filled with pickup and control cavities, wire tunnels, volume control hole and input jack access. All the stuff you’ll never see when it’s done, but totally necessary! Good productive day.
Got the neck fitted to the body and bridge placement mounted. It all sounds a bit Frankensteinish, and it is… the body is made entirely of scrap and the next was revived from an earlier build. 💀👻🎃
Backside pieces have been fitted! More gluing ahead, then filling all the little crevasses between pieces.
More progress on the backside today. decide to keep sharp angles to be more consistent with the topside. The scrap bin is starting to run low!
On the flipside… The beginning of the back design. I also rounded and shaped the edges on the top side. Still a lot of filling crevices to do, but that will all be done when the back is finished.
Big progress today as I finally got all the pieces cut and fit into place! Most are just taped in at the moment, so next up will be a lot of glue!
Lessons in patience! The little tiny pieces are the hardest, but satisfying when they kinda fit. Still a bit more to go, but slow steady progress!

More progress fitting pieces. It looks like a big mess right now. 😆
A few more scrap pieces finding a home on this build. It’s been a slow process, but rewarding when you can make them fit!
Dragonfly Mandolin V3. This little guy has been the most stubborn instrument I have made. Originally built in 2020, I fixed a crack in 2021 and added a pickup. Last year it developed a severe crack and so I decided to remove the top and back and replace with Walnut. Hope he likes it! 😆🤞🏻
A little bit of oil.
New top and back glued and sanded…Ready for oil coats this week.
Some good progress today on the mandola rebuild.
Clamps off… X-Wing Navigation Computer? 😆.
