After they've served their communities by risking their lives, and when they've served their time and paid their "debt to society," they can't even get jobs as firefighters once they're free.
This needs to change.

You've likely (hopefully) heard this term a lot this week.
EX: In California, they had one of their wettest seasons a few years ago, allowing lots of new plant growth. It switched into drought, and all that growth died, providing kindling for fires.

Climate change was not a major theme in this year's election, but it should have been.
