Each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving I am present to share Jesus’ light, love and compassion at the local meeting for International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day each year. This day is vital for providing support and offering hope and healing as the holidays approach. My team’s presence is a reminder of God’s loving care for us.

Whether our reasons for being thankful are many or if we find ourselves in the pit of despair, we know that It is through God that there is true peace that passes all understanding.

Today Kezia Comfort Dog and I were invited to be present with comfort, love and support at the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk in DC. We met and loved on many who were there to walk in honor of loved ones lost.

We pray that we are able to be a light for those who struggle and for those in need of hope. You are loved and you are not alone. ❤️

I was thrilled to be back on campus at Howard University yesterday to help celebrate World Mental Health Day by reminding students of activities to support their well being, like hugging or petting a dog.
It was a beautifully sunny fall afternoon as Kezia Comfort Dog and I waited to surprise students with love and comfort. You wouldn’t believe all the smiles and love we received right back!
These students are in the middle of mid -terms and many were anxious and stressed. We were happy to be there for them, and to to be a bright spot in their day.
A student shared a huge smile with friends and said “these dogs really work! I feel full of comfort now!” What a great day spent shining Jesus’ light!

Earlier this week Kezia Comfort Dog and I
were back on the campus of Howard University in Washington,DC. We were present for the Counseling Services Open House event designed to introduce students to the many ways this incredible group is able to support students on campus.

We met, hugged and encouraged so many students who are just finishing their first month of the school year. This is an emotional and stressful time where they are finding their way and missing family and pets back home. We were happy to spend time smiling, laughing and comforting them.
