Lindsey Hatfield for Reno County Commission, District 4

Results are in, and I’m sorry to say that we lost by 276 votes. It was so close. Thank you for all of the support and love, it’s been an adventure. Regardless of the outcome, I’m still committed to Hutchinson and Reno County, and to working hard for all of us.

Congratulations to Richard Winger on his win. I appreciate the kindness and respect he’s shown me throughout the campaign. Wishing him the best on the County Commission.

Polls close in a little over an hour! I’d just like to take a moment to thank everyone for all of the amazing support I’ve received. I hope we win, but regardless of the outcome, I’m so encouraged by your support. So many people have spent their time, money, and energy to help with my campaign and I’m forever grateful.

Out and about in October! I’m admittedly pretty bad about updating Facebook regularly, but here are just a few of the highlights from October for the campaign. Kansas Leadership Center training, Stump Speeches, Chamber of Commerce Forum, NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner, press conference for the new Evergy plant in Reno County, Love Where You Live workshop, and closing it out with a rally featuring Gov. Laura Kelly! Unfortunately the tornado watch kept her from joining us in person - thanks KS. 😅

We’re closing in on the final days of the campaign and I would just like to thank everyone for their support, it has been incredible. Reno County seems ready for a change! I’m looking forward to casting my ballot Friday when Clayton and Ruby can join me. They’ve been going to the polls with me since they were babies and I hope it’ll be special for them to see my name on the ballot. ❤️

We had a lovely evening at the 2024 NAACP Annual Freedom Fund Dinner Presented by Mariposas Events & Rentals last night. Great company, food, music and speakers. ❤️

Last week's Stump Speech event was such a treat! It was inspiring to hear from my fellow local candidates and I loved sharing my vision for Reno County. We truly have such incredible candidates this year - let's get them elected!!

I also spent some time last week at a Kansas Leadership Center training for emerging public officials, and it truly transformed how I think about leadership. I was so happy to see a familiar face at the event as well, my dear friend Rebecca Yoder-Shetler who is an innovative and amazing woman and leader!

Join us tomorrow night at the Reno County Farmers Market to hear from local candidates! I’ll be speaking around 6:00pm. We will also be handing out yard signs if you would like one.

I had the cutest volunteers (incentivized by ice cream) to help walk our neighborhood tonight. 🥰🇺🇸 I love seeing neighborhood friends and meeting new people, and these two were very helpful with door knocking!

Early voting in Reno County begins October 17th and ends November 5th!
