Another piece of my heart finds its home!
This one has been a favorite among many, and I’ve had the pleasure of recreating similar ones a few times, each carrying its own unique charm.
The joy of seeing it brighten someone’s space is beyond words!

Have you ever seen your own work through someone else’s eyes and felt its meaning transform entirely?

That’s exactly what happened with one of my recent paintings, and the journey it took deserves its own spotlight. This was meant to be my original Thanksgiving post, but the story is so special, it needed to stand on its own.

It began with an ekphrastic competition, where my painting won an award and inspired Mary Jane Andol to write a stunning poem. While I had shaped a Slovakian mountain into a heart, Mary saw something entirely different—a majestic eagle, with the heart as its eye. Her interpretation forever changed how I viewed my own work.

But the magic didn’t stop there. After purchasing the painting, Mary surprised me with something extraordinary: t-shirts featuring my painting and her poem, printed in three different colors. Seeing my art paired with her words and reimagined in this way was a deeply moving experience.

This wasn’t just about selling a painting—it was a reminder of how art has the power to connect, inspire, and evolve when shared with others. Moments like this make my art journey so much more than a business—they’re about the stories we create together.

For that, I’m incredibly thankful. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for being part of this meaningful journey!

This painting’s journey is as whimsical as the tree it holds. It never ceases to amaze me how a creation born from my fingertips seems to chart its own path, seeking out the heart it truly belongs to and finding its perfect place, as though it always knew where it was meant to be.

Wrapping up the 2024 Fall Stretch Plein Air Festival! For those who missed my previous reels, check out these pictures from the beautiful spots where I painted.

One of the most memorable and happiest moments from the festival was the love and recognition I received from small kids. Several kids came up to me and said they voted for my paintings, saying they were their favorites. We even took pictures together (though I can’t share them here), and those moments gave me the energy to carry on for the rest of the day!

And speaking of energy — seeing the ‘sold’ sign on the artwork label of my Cherry Hill Farmhouse painting gave me such a boost of happiness! A few more people were interested in buying it, which gave me the promise and energy to paint even more.

I’m so touched by the poem inspired by my finger painting of the heart-shaped mountain. After the contest, my painting was included in an ekphrastic poetry contest, where poets wrote about the winning artworks.
One poet saw an eagle within the heart shape and wrote a beautiful poem, revealing a new meaning in my work. Isn’t that interesting?!

This discovery has left me speechless and grateful. Art truly knows no bounds, and I’m honored by the poet’s kind words and unique vision.
Thank you Mary Jane Andol for bringing this new perspective to my painting!

My colorful sunset fingerpainting, after gracing three library exhibits, was the first to sell at my fourth outdoor exhibit. Tricia Amberly Minson’s daughters’ joy and excitement were as vibrant as the flowers in the painting.

Fields of Purple and Gold: A Journey Remembered 🌟

Happy to share that my largest finger painting, inspired by the sweetest childhood memory, has found its forever home with the wonderful Matthew and Gabriel in New York! 🎉

What’s more fascinating is that this painting has sparked a similar memory from Puerto Rico for the client!

This painting not only captured the essence of sugarcane fields but also harvested numerous accolades, including a People’s Choice Award and a third-place finish at prestigious galleries and exhibits.

Choosing to deliver this canvas personally was an adventure in itself, bypassing the hassle of shipping such a large piece. This decision gifted me a cherished reunion with New Jersey after a decade—a serendipitous full circle on the day of our 10th anniversary of leaving.
