Angell Park Speedway update from tonight……
I went out in the new car, wasn’t comfortable in it as there were a few things that needed adjusting. Once those were handled off to the heat race we went. Started last & finished 6th missing the A main by one.
After long discussion with the crew they all said I needed to drive the car harder and put the last two times out of my head. They coached me on a few driver adjustments i needed to make. Zach Made a few adjustments and out for the HOOLIGAN Race for the last attempt at making the A main.
Started 9th, worked my way up to 7th to transfer in the show, I made a few mistakes and another rookie snuck past me to get the transfer spot ending my hopes of making another main event.
However I learned a lot from tonight, brought the car in one piece in the trailer, a quick congrats to the track prep crew as it was a lot of fun to drive on as it was a big difference from last week. Like to Congrats to the other two Rookies making the A main and of course Brandon for his 20th win, as well as Todd for his runner up finish! Two Class act drivers on and off the track with these two.
The TRUE winners tonight are everyone on the Zach Boden Racing team who pitched in asked if we needed help and got the new car built from a frame on Weds to a pretty solid race ready bad ass car tonight. The results do not show the hard work put into the car. So THANK YOU ladies and gents for everything you come and do.
Lastly thank you to the sponsors who have stuck with me so far this year.

Rhino exteriors Badger Midget Debut update.
We had a way better car than driver we qualified 15th out of 26 cars. We picked up almost 2 seconds on the field from hot laps.
In the Heat started 8th and finished 6th, I was getting more comfortable in the car and relating the best I could to the car owner and crew.
In the feature we started 26th on the field due to being a Rookie. There were a couple of mishaps in the main that brought out the Red flags. I noticed that we were not firing off the restart as good as we should and really got more comfortable driving a new car for the first time. We ended up 13th. This was a huge goal with the competition we were against, so to finish all the laps raced was a major achievement.
By our efforts we brought home the Rookie of the Race, and Hard Charger award. This was something that we as a team were excited to have happen. We now have a lot to build off and a solid notebook started.
WILLMAN RACING update: with the weather looking cold but sunny it looks like all 3 series are in agreement to run the TRIFECTA with IRA SPRINT CARS, BADGER MIDGETS, and DIRT KINGS TOUR LATE MODELS at Beaver Dam Raceway this Saturday @ 5:30pm!
Our Rhino Exterior #90 will be there but just not wrapped. The time restraint of wrapping it correctly, as well as finishing it up to race is the most important, as wraps don’t win races or even start one.
If you are looking for some great Dirt racing with open wheel and fender cars Saturday at BEAVER DAM RACEWAY is where it’s at!!! Dress warm, and bring your favorite gloves for holding your favorite beverage’s!! See you there!!!!

It’s been a crazy week to turn 50 with a few things additionally happening. With that I would like to say THANK YOU for everyone who wished me it on Thursday. Then we move into the next news as it was confirmed that longtime sponsor LASERFORM LLC is returning for 2024 as they will make the trophies for the first annual WILLMAN RACING golf outing(dates and course to be announced soon)
Lastly Willman Racing has sold the asphalt Lefthander rolling chassis that was going to be a 602 Outlaw late model. It was definitely bitter sweet, but for me to focus on making the move for the 2024 season in a Midget it had to be done. I can not wait to bring more great news as it comes together! I’m very grateful for two great people have stepped in to help ensure my efforts are done right to be safe, successful, and smart!

I have reached 400 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉 Thank you for your support!! Look forward to growing this bigger in 2024!!!

WOW, Is All I can say about last week. With getting everything together to get our new Crate motor in, to having transmission issues that my amazing crew never gave up & kept after it until we absolutely couldn’t work on the car to make it just in time to race. They became experts and taking the transmission in and out in 10-15mins. JWR took the Dirt Kings Tour #90 to Angell Park last night, the first laps were done in Qualifying, with an effort with what we had, I was comfortable with it. Went out in the heat race, after making a few adjustments and gear change were better but with the moto track we had went took a swing at it for the A Main. Started A Main, and 10 laps into it I was in trouble with the trans jumping out of gear, I was swallowed up by the leaders, I stayed as high as I could go without getting in trouble or stinking up the show within a half lap we had no Third gear and pulled in and parked it. I can say regardless of the outcome on the track! Yesterday was a great day of learning with this team!! I learned that drivers always speak how great their crew is, but I saw so much Heart in the youngest crew member at 12 to the oldest one with their never give up attitudes, it was all Heart!! To Learning that even with a little motor I could stay close to big motors learning each lap on the track! I also learned how much great family Support I have at home! Julie you worked all day with the powerlifting team, then drove 2hrs to watch me go in circles! You’ve been there thick and thin, & have stayed with me through our “Hell Weeks” getting things ready to race!! You Truly are MY PERSON!!
Thank you to Wives, Girfriends, of my crew guys to put up with them supporting a guy trying to enjoy a hobby! Thank you to all our Great Marketing Partners that Support JWR every year, and to all the new one’s this year! Our year might be done after this mechanical break, but this team has a no quit attitude!!!!
JWR will be back!!

A little throw back to 2012 at The Milwaukee Mile in the ASA Midwest Truck Series. Was a successful day as we walked away with a 3rd and 10th place finish. It was a Honor to work with Pathfinder Chassis, Joe Wood, as well my crew chief & tire guy for the race David Kohn! We proudly carried Veteran Organization that was my major marketing partner in those days The Wounded Warriors In Action was on board that day.
Sunday’s Diamond 43 @ Wilmot Raceway Update:
We worked getting the car together, and when we did the nose was a little lower than I liked it to be, as we went out to start the heat race, I hit a clump of mud coming into the track causing the nose to fold under. The track said I needed to attend to it, and pulled off not getting a lap in.
The Crew went to work, and we got the nose fixed, and set out to start 11th in the B-Main to make the Dirt Kings Tour Diamond 43 that paid $4300 to win. We started out okay, and I had adjusted the car with too much front brake, which made the car push in the corners. I went to the high side to see if the car would turn better and caught the cushion harder then I expected folding the nose of the car wedging the splitter holding the nose of the car between the ground and bumper. I hung onto trying to see if I could make it to the end, and with the car not turning due to the nose issue, and seeing the leaders racing hard to make the A-main gaining on me, I wasn’t going to screw up the show, so I pulled off the track to save the car for another week.
These are the joys of being a ROOKIE, and learning with these caliber of racers each event. Our team will regroup for our next race in 2 weeks at OUTAGAMIE SPEEDWAY for the DIRT KINGS TOUR SALUTE TO SERVICE 30.
We will be busy this next Sunday with the ADAMS COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT Golf Outing at MOUNDVIEW GOLF COURSE, so we will be missing this weeks race. The Badger Outlaw #90 will be on display there. We will have some apparel for sale as well taking preorders for you.

The 2021 Dirt Kings Tour “Rookie” Debut is in the books last night at Shawano Speedway. Our goal last night was to go there try to make all the laps, make the Feature, get some seat time, and Have fun. Well three of those goals were accomplished. We got seat time, had fun, and Made the Feature. Our night started way behind trying to finish the car to get to the track, once we made it there the JWR crew of Donald Skelton, and Dylan Lang got the car ready for action. The heat race was simply getting me up on the wheel again. The car started running hot, and we pulled off, so between the heat and Hooligan Race (B Main) we rushed bought a New radiator and hoses, and seen that we needed to put a gasket in the Distributor. These 2 guys slaved to get it done. We started the B Main facing the wrong way, as some feel racing down the backstretch then stopping for a rabbit start is cool, and Instead of Drilling the car ahead of me, I locked it up and spun to avoid hitting them. This knocked the front over about 5”. That lead to the lower radiator hose to come off.. that was the end of our night. That was until I was informed I was the provisional for the feature. This was a huge deal for myself and team as I am attempting to run for Rookie honors this year and need every point we can get. It was great having the BevRage Owner David Fire in the house to demo his Chiller invention. The car itself is a good solid car, the driver is needing seat time, and the crew guys rock! JWR can not thank the following people for believing in our team for 2021:
Optima Batteries
Laserform LLC
SuperClean
BevRage
Belva Parr Coldwell Banker, Dolly Parr
