Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,
This is not the note I had hoped to send out. We fought the good fight but ultimately, we were not successful in the Township Commissioner race. While the outcome may not have aligned with my hopes and aspirations, I want to express my congratulation to Dan Norris on his victory. I believe in the democratic process, and the voice of the people has spoken.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Cheltenham Township who placed their trust in me and supported my campaign. Your belief in my vision for our community has been humbling and inspiring.
Running for public office is an endeavor that requires immense dedication and sacrifice, and I want to acknowledge the efforts of my incredible campaign team and volunteers. Your hard work, passion, and unwavering commitment to our shared cause have been the backbone of this journey. I am indebted to you for your support and the countless hours you dedicated to our campaign. I also want to thank my wife, Lorie Slass. She was my partner in my effort, she worked tirelessly and kept me focused on running the best campaign I could run. Her sacrifices and dedication to me and my effort guided me through the past several months.
I want to express my appreciation to my family and friends who have been a constant source of encouragement and strength throughout this entire process. Your support and belief in me have been the driving force behind my candidacy. I cannot thank you enough for standing by my side, regardless of the outcome. If you have my campaign sign in your yard, I will be removing these by the end of the week.
While the result may not be what we had hoped for, I firmly believe that the spirit of public service transcends any electoral outcome. My dedication to Cheltenham Township remains steadfast, and I will continue working toward the betterment of our community in any capacity I can.
With Gratitude,
Bill England
England For Ward 5
Hello, I’m your neighbor, Bill England and I’m running to be your next Township Commissioner
This page is intended to provide information about the England For Ward 5 campaign.

Have you voted yet? Polls are open until 8 pm. If you aren't sure where to vote, you can check here: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/PollingPlaceInfo.aspx

Tomorrow is the Primary. If your polling location was Gratz College, this is where I vote, it has moved to St. John's just across Melrose Avenue. In person voting will be inside of St. John's. Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm. Parking is scarce, if you are able to walk to the polls or park at Gratz or on Melrose. If you don't vote at this location, use this link to find your polling location: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/PollingPlaceInfo.aspx

Tomorrow (Tuesday, May 16) is the Primary Election. I want to say thank you to all who have supported my campaign. Thank you for volunteering, writing postcards, hanging door-hangers, contributing to the campaign and helping spread the word by talking with neighbors, friends, and family who live in Ward 5. I have had the privilege to meet so many neighbors who have spoken with me about our wonderful community and what you want for Cheltenham’s future.
We have worked hard to get to this point. We have been to nearly every democratic door in Ward 5. We have sent thousands of postcards and mailers. All of this preparing for tomorrow.
I am asking one more time for your vote. Can I count on you?
IF YOU HAVE A MAIL-IN BALLOT
At this point, if you haven’t put the ballot in the mail, we’d recommend going to a drop box location. Our drop box is located at the Township Tax Office: 8230 Old York Rd. in Elkins Park. The location is open 8 am-8 pm through May 16.
If you have a mail-in ballot and have changed your mind and want to vote in person, you can bring your ballot and the envelopes to the polls with you. You will give your ballot and envelopes to a Poll Worker and they will void it for you; enabling you to vote in person.
VOTING IN PERSON
Polls open at 7 am and close at 8 pm.
Please note, if you have previously voted at Gratz College, the new location for this election is St. John’s Lutheran Church (1224 Melrose Avenue) just across Melrose Ave. from Gratz. You can confirm your polling place here:
