This is a demo from the newly released 40th Anniversary soundtrack to "Yentl." I post it so you can hear the beautiful harmony of the late Michel Legrand. He was the king of melody to my ears. The world of music misses him. He and Barbra Streisand were a dream team.

Mark your calendars now for October 8. We have another great event coming to our historic event and gathering space, Smyth Chapel. Eugene Wolf and his one-man play, "The Book of Mamaw."
Forget bonnets and butter churns. Eugene Wolf brings a singular Appalachian voice to “The Book of Mamaw,” his one-man show of stories, songs and sketches about growing up with his grandmother, Bernice Rader. She was a Christian woman who recognized her two-year-old grandson’s love of performing and guided him on his way. There’s room in their Appalachia for Avon, Farah slacks and Boy George. Featuring the music of the Carter Family, Connie Francis, Loretta Lynn, Petula Clark, the Beatles and more, it’s a musical coming of age journey. From the shape notes of a small Church of Christ in Greeneville, Tennessee to the call to prayer of the Saraha Desert, “The Book Of Mamaw” is a surprising musical tale of a spiritual path to kindness and compassion.

Coming up on the 10th anniversary of my last visit to Russia, where I performed a concert in my friend, Mitya Kuznetsov's back yard. Here's a song from that performance.
