The Virginia Highlands Festival will present its 75th festival summer of 2024. Since the beginning, a writing workshop has been part of the festival. Over the years, the festival has enjoyed watching writers blossom. Perhaps the most famous example is of Lou Crabtree’s encounter with Lee Smith, but there are more. The Writers and Readers committee of the festival is interested in hearing from writers who attended a workshop in the past, recent or distant. If that is you, email me at [email protected]. Let us know what workshop you attended and how that might have benefitted you. Thanks in advance.

08/31/2023

The next AAG meeting is on Tuesday, September 12th from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Abingdon Shoney’s. Linda Hoagland will be presenting on Fact-based Fiction. Please email Vicki if you can attend by Friday, September 8th at [email protected]. Hope to see you there.
