15th April 2024 - Had a fun one hour session with little ones at North View MOE Kindergarten! The workshop was on the traditional celebration of Tamil New Year, which was on 14th April this year. Kids were introduced to the many aspects of the traditional celebration (Tamil months, attire, food) including Kummi / கும்மி dance which promotes community bonding and kinship. As you can guess, Kummi was the favourite part of the workshop! ❤️👏🏻👏🏻❤️

Throwback 2021. One of those few times I used a saree instead of a stitched Bharathanatyam costume.
It was a Deepavali show that was telecast live on social media - no live audience! Glad we are back to performing face to face now, though there's a lot more to be done for traditional art forms. Nevertheless, thankful for every opportunity 🙏🏼

With my dancers at Sree Ramar Temple after their recent Navarathri performance. Besides having a wide stretch of beautiful Kolu, the temple was one of the most organised (wonderful stage was a plus), with plenty of food for everyone who came there to worship, or to just soak in the beauty of the arts. Thankful for the opportunity and grateful for the hospitality 🙏🏼
