Dear all, BSO has officially closed and will no longer operate due to disagreements with our host, Bishan CC.

Music Director Edwin Choy and a few members has moved on and founded Quindicesima Symphonic Orchestra. Those who have interest in joining, please contact Quindicesima or Edwin Choy for more details.

Music Director Edwin Choy would like to thank all members who contributed to BSO, and made it what it is, an orchestra for the community and by the community.

Also, BSO is extremely grateful to the members of public who supported BSO throughout its lifetime's performances.

BSO has won 2 awards: Prime Minister's Community Award, & PassionArts Award under the direction of Edwin Choy in 2015.

Our Story

Bishan Symphonic Orchestra (BSO), formed in October 2016, is a non-profit community orchestra supported by Bishan East Community Arts and Culture Club (CACC) and PAssionArts Singapore.

BSO's music director is Mr. Edwin Choy, who has written and arranged every single song played by the orchestra. Each score is written to the ability of the player, therefore enabling beginners to perform with professionals.

BSO aims to:
1) Engage and educate the community by performing and conducting music workshops.
2) Involve and recruit anyone who is interested in performing & learning with the orchestra.
3) Raise awareness that music is available to everyone, and is not an expensive hobby.
4) Equip every member of the community with an instrument & the ability to perform.

BSO has won the following awards:
1) Prime Minister's Community Initiative Award 2017
2) Singapore WOW PAssionArts Award

BSO has organised these concerts:
