On today's episode of # things dey happen sha:
Vera, one of my close friends told me about her pregnancy with her then boyfriend,( now ex husband)
With too much anxiety and fear, she called me and told me about her being pregnant, and the following conversation echoes between us,
Vera: how far nwa, how you dey
Myself: I dey babe, wetin dey sup
Vera: where you dey like this
Myself: I dey house wetin dey happen, Anything for your babe
( With panic in her voice, I know that everything is not alright)
Vera: how far any body dey there with you, E get wetin I wan tell now sharply
Myself; no no, nobody dey here , wetin be that, gist me na, wetin dey happen
Vera: Babe, "Am pregnant"
Myself: hahahaha, Ashawo dey carry Belle so, ( I yab her) but babe Are you serious
Vera: started crying, am two months gone
Myself: how ,why didn't you say something since, why being so careless, so tell her shebi na your guy Frank get am .....
Vera:, yes na, na who go get am before, abi you think say I be you way dey manage five men at the same time ( she yab me back)
( That's relief the tension in her voice)
Myself: you don get mouth na, I no blame you, so tell me wetin go happen now, you go tell am make he come see your people na, make me self dey ready for chifbridemade duties na,
Vera: yea, but an afraid about what my parents will say, they will be very disappointed in me ,after sending me to school and everything,and instead of bringing home certificate and bringing home pregnancy, I feel so disappointed in myself.
Myself: babe no talk like that ,this thing happened, you can still make them proud at least you are bringing home baby not AIDS,
(She laughed and said)
Vera:you this girl you can never change we are talking about something important and you are here saying another thing all together, anyway no prob, I will talk to Frank about it and we will fix a date to come and see my parents for the necessary things to be done.,
