Mr Frank and his family are busy chatting and laughing on the dinning table waiting for their visitor.

The door bell rings and Mrs Frank gives John a sign of is she the one, which John nodded in yes.

"Come in" Mrs Frank shouted and Maria open the door slowly.

Mrs Frank was stranded in shock with an angry face and gives John a weird look.

"Good morning ma, good morning sir" Maria said in a cool voice.

"Morning my dear princess, how was your day?" Mr Frank said happily and Mrs Frank gave him a warning look.

"Hey, come have your sit" John said with a smile and Maria giggle.

Mrs Frank sprang up from her sit angrily and walk to her room.

Mr Frank gives John a sign of what's going on and John replied with a sign of i don't know o.

"Let me go talk to her" Mr Frank said and left.

"Does your mommy hates me?" Maria said in a sad voice and John faked a smile.

"Common, don't say that"

Some moments later, noise can be heard inside the room as Mr and Mrs Frank are busy ranting on each other.

"Can you just forget the past and let the innocent girl be!!?" Mr Frank exclaime.

"No, never will i allow my son to marry from a gold diggers family" Mrs Frank shouted back.

"She is not a gold digger Julianna" Mr Frank called her real name.

"But her mother is, she may inherited it from her, over my dead body will i allow her to ruin my son's life, never!!!"

Mrs Frank shouted and Maria gasp in shock with tears gathering on her eyes.

"I have to go" Maria said as she took her purse and rush out.

"Maria!!!" John call and rush after her.

"Just let me be for now please" Maria said as she tried to open her car door but John blocked her.

"Please Maria, it was all my fault, she once passed out when i told her that you're pregnant for me, so i thought this will solve it and also know what's with you two" John said in a sad voice.

"So you're happy now right, just get out of my!!!" Maria exclaime as he pushed John away.

"Maria! Maria!!" John call but she roll up and speed off.

John scratch his head angrily before he turned and get inside.

John got inside and saw Mr Frank sitting on a chair with his hand on his cheek as he is in a deep conception while Mrs Frank was busy crying on the other chair.

"What's going on dad, mom, what is it this time again?" John said in a crying voice and Mr Frank sigh.

"Come have your sit son" Mr Frank said and John obeyed.

"I'm listening" John said and Mr Frank sigh again.

"Some years back when you was still a kid,i planned on marrying second wife but your mom never accepted that,

one day, i went to a shoprite and met this beautiful lady who works as a cashier in shoprite,

we became friends and later leads us into relationship but i hides her from your mom,

she called me one faithful day and told me she is pregnant, yes we have been having sexual in*******se which i can't deny the pregnancy.

Your mom later found out and insist that i must bring her home which i did, she gave birth and we became a happy family until a strange man came and claimed to be the child's real father,

Sophia was speechless and said am definitely not the child's biological father that Bayo the strange man was nowhere to be found when she was pregnant and she needs a supporter to help in raising the child, so she has no other option.

We went for a test and the baby was truly not mine so we gave up on Sophia and the baby and the baby is the lady you brought"

Mr Frank said and John stands and walk inside his room slowly.

"Woohoo!!" Judge exclaime happily and started dancing some unknown step dance.

They were about to open the bus door when a car drove to the front of Mrs Frank gate and Wolf signal them to wait.

"That's the car that left a while ago" One of the gang members said.

"She must be his wife because he es**rted her out a while ago and here she comes again" Another gang member said again.

Wolf phone starts ringing and he took it and slide the green button.

📞 "How is it going?" Mr Robert asked in a low voice.

📞 "His wife has been the one delaying our work, she left some moments ago and comes back now, we need to let her in first before banging inside the compound" Wolf said in a weird voice.

📞 "John has wife, how?" Mr Robert said in a surprise voice.

📞 "Yes because he was the one that es**rted her out before" Wolf said again and Mr Robert was silent for a while.

📞 "Do you know what, plan changed, i need the lady alive now" Mr Robert said.

📞 "But sir"

📞 "Obey before complain" Mr Robert said and hang up the call.

"F**k!!!" Wolf said and hit his hands together.

"What's up boss" One of the squad members said.

"Plan changed" Wolf said and all gasp with their mouth open.

"I'm not going inside there, but i must get my phone,

or should i send the gateman?" Different thoughts keep ruining on Maria mind and she shakes her head before coming down.

"Hi lady" A voice said from her back and before she could turn she was suffocated with a handkerchief and passed out on the person's hand immediately.

Fred drove to the front of a Supermarket and parked properly before coming down,

he was about entering inside when his phone started ringing, he took some steps back before picking the call.

📞 "Hey bro" Fred said.

📞 "Wats up Fred" Judge said and Fred smirked.

📞 "Do you just remembered that am still alive"? Fred said again and Judge giggle.

📞 "I have tried reaching you for several times but to no avail"

📞 "I knew you will always have a way out"

📞 "Common, are you around" Judge said again.

📞 "No, i went out to get some stuffs"

📞 "Okay, Club tonight, are you in?"

📞 "Deal" Fred said and Judge smile before hanging up.

"Yes mom" John said as he walk closer to Mrs Frank and gives her a peck.

"You are having a party in my own house without informing me?" Mrs Frank said.

"Not a party mom, is just that i invited a friend for a breakfast"

"And i don't have to know about it first?"

"He said it's a surprise" Mr Frank said as he slowly takes the stairs down one by one.

"Hun, you too?" Mrs Frank said in surprise.

"I think your son is in love, let's just wait and see the lucky girl" Mr Frank said again and John smile.

"Okay, before you two gives me HBP, let me get change and wait for my daughter in-law" Mrs Frank said and walk away.

"Thanks dad" John said and Mr Frank smile.

"Thank your ancestors that am in good mood today, bitch" Fred yelled again and walk away.

"Did he just slapped me" Sandra said to her self and burst out in tears again.

"And am doing nothing this time, infact am not doing again" Doctor Mike said and Mr Robert keep staring at him with a wicked look.

Mr Robert could not complete his words when his phone started ringing,

he stared at the call for some moments and gave the doctor a sign of excuse me and doctor Mike nodded in okay.

Mr Frank company

Mrs Frank car speed to the front of the garage and stop immediately.

"What are we doing here mom"? John ask with a surprise look.

"You will find out when we gets in" Mrs said coming down from the car.

"I'm not going there if you won't tell me what exactly it is, and if it is about that man, that's…."

"John" Mrs Frank cuts in

"That man is your dad, and you can't be expecting him to come and apologize to you, no matter how grown or wise you think you are, you are still a child to him,

just please stop this and follow" Mrs Frank said.

"Give me the car key i want to check something" John said angrily and Mrs Frank chuckle as she walk closer to him.

"My son, my one and only price, the owner of my bride price, mom loves you as well as your dad, you can't keep malicing with your dad when am still alive,

please let's just put an end to this" Mrs Frank said in a sad voice with her hand on John's shoulder.

John was silent for a while before he started walking inside the company and Mrs Frank followed immediately.

They walk closer to the secretary office as people keep gabbing about them while some are bowing thier heads in greeting.

"Good day ma, good day sir" The secretary greeted them immediately as she stands up.

"Is my husband around" Mrs Frank asked and secretary nodded in yes.

"Informe him we are h…." Mrs Frank could not complete her word as she saw John heading to Mr Frank office,

she smiles to the secretary and followed him.

Mr Frank was busy with some documents on his table when John bangs in without knocking.

Mr Frank looked up immediately and was shocked.

"Wow, my son has finally come back to his sense" Mr Frank said with smile as he stands up to hug him, but John neglect him and went to sit down on a chair.

Mrs Frank entered and saw the scene going on as Mr Frank still spread his hands on the air with an angry face.

She walk closer to him and accept the hug and whisper to his ear.

"Don't mind him, he is just a kid"

"I'm not a kid mom" John said and Mrs Frank gave him a sign of "Will you shut up"

Some moments later, everywhere was still silent until the secretary entered with a wine and three glass cups,

she pour the wine inside them and serve it but John rejected his own telling her he's okay, and Mrs Frank told her to drop it on the table and leave.

Mr Frank sip his wine and sigh.

"John, i never hated you, i only want the best for you and my grandchildren" Mr Frank said and John look at him angrily.

"The best for me you call it? i never knew forcing your child to do what he is uunotuinterested in is also part of caring"

"No my son, i was only trying to make sure uuthat my relationship between my friend last longer, he is the one that makes me who i am today, your mom can testify that" Mr Frank said again and John sigh.

"That's past, what i want now is you two to get along, i want us to become a happy family again" Mrs Frank said with a smile and gives John a sign.

John walk over to his dad and gives him a tight hug.

"I'm sorry dad" He said with tears freely dropping from his eyes.

"I'm sorry too" Mr Frank said with a smile.

Mrs Frank join them in the hug with tears gathering on his eye balls.

"I'm also sorry guys" She said and everybody gasp in shock.

Judge took off his glass and face Evelyn

"Ohh, the good samaritan from supermarket" Evelyn said and Judge burst out of laughter.

"It's fine, but i haven't yet know your name" Judge said.

"Evelyn"

"Okay, let him in" Mr Frank said and the secretary bow her head before leaving.

Mr Robert walks in some moments later with a smile all over his face.

"Who do we have here" Mr Frank said with a smile as he stands up and give him a cool hug.

"Long time Frank" Mr Robert said as they separate the hug and both sit.

"Your handsomeness is growing day by day" Mr Frank said and they both laugh.

"So, how have you been doin"? Mr Robert said again.

"Glory be to God, and i can see you are really doing good" Mr Frank said and they both smile.

"I remembered how our parents tried their best just to make sure we go to a better school and become a doctor, what a wasted of money" Mr Robert said and they laugh again.

"How is Vicky"? Mr Frank asked.

she have been taken good care of me, please just skip that from your mind" Mr Robert said.

"Okay, i will think about it" Mr Robert said and Mr Frank smile.

"They are fine" Mr Frank replied.

"Have you reconcile with your son"? Mr Robert asked again.

"Not yet, he's proving stubbornness, forgotten am his father" Mr Frank said again.

"Do you know his whereabout?"

"Yes, he is with his mom after some gun lmen destroy his apartment, so he doesn't have choice" Mr Frank said and Mr Robert giggle.

"Kids of nowadays are something else, you will be expecting their apologize only for them to do the worse" Mr Robert said and Mr Frank sigh.p

"I remembered our days" Mr Frank said again and they both smile.

"I will be taking my leave now, i have some meetings to attend" Mr Robert said and they give each other a tight hug before leaving.

"He has already paid ma" The cashier said and Evelyn turn to Judge immediately.

"How can a beautiful damsel like you be be paying for shopping, you can shop anything you like, bills on me" Judge said with a smile.

"Thank you sir, am okay" Evelyn said and walk out of the supermarket.

why the sudden change?" Mrs Frank said with a surprise look.

"He is not around ma, but i will talk to him on phone" Evelyn replied.

"Okay if you say so, but please make sure you come back soon, i will miss you, John will miss you and Alex either, we will really miss you my dear" Mrs Frank as she stands up and give her a warm hug.

"I promise mom" Evelyn said as they separate the hug and turn to leave.

"Please a second" Mrs Frank said and rushed inside her room.

She comes out some moments later and hand over a cheque to Evelyn.

"OMG, 1…1 million naira for what ma?" Evelyn said with a confused look.

"Just manage it dear, i know what you have done for my son, he explained everything to me, only God can reward you,

please don't forget your promise" Mrs Frank said as tears are already gathering on Evelyn's eyes.

Evelyn walk closer to Mrs Frank and hug her tightly as tears drops freely from her eyes down to her cheeks.

"I won't ma" She said with a sad voice and left.

"I wish she could be my daughter in-law" Mrs Frank said and sat back on the chair.

They both walk to the gate and John was about to knock when the gate open and Evelyn comes out.

"Eve" John called in surprise

"John" Evelyn called back.

"Where the hell are you going with luggages like someone that was chased out of husband's house" John said in a funny way but Evelyn heart took it serious.

"Sorry for not informing you first, i need to go but will soon be back" Evelyn said.

"But….."

"I know" Evelyn cuts in

"Something later came up, i really have to go, am sorry"

"Is it what i can help"? John said.

"No John, and i will be back soon,

stop sounding as if am going to die" Evelyn said,

John walk over to her and give her a tight hug and whisper to her ear.

John tried to separate the hug but Evelyn still hold him tight as she keep smiling.

"You are suffocating me" John said and Evelyn separate the hug immediately.

"Anything for you mom" John replied again.

"Amazing mom, The kitchen maid food today is extraordinary delicious" John said with a smile as he keep rushing his food.

"I prepared it myself" Mrs Frank said and John gave her a surprised look.

Maria keep following the song and supporting it with her head moving back and front.

"Can i speak with you"? Evelyn said which distract Maria from her mood.

"No, i mean do you…." Evelyn could not complete her words when Maria cuts in.

"Yeah, you told me the other time that you are his girlfriend, didn't you"?

"Ohh, yeah, uhm, yeah i remembered" Evelyn said forcing a smile on her face.

John never sees me as his girlfriend but just a friend, he doesn't feel the same way i feel,
or am i not pretty enough"? Evelyn said.

Maria tried not to laugh out but the pressure was too much and she burst out of laughter which surprise Evelyn and she gives her a warning look.

"I'm sorry" Maria said and clear her throat.

"No, keep making fun of me, i deserve it" Evelyn said and face her front with a frowned face.

"No, that's not what i mean, you are really a beautiful lady that any man could die for, i don't just know what to say about John, i don't think he has time for women now, maybe…"

Chapter 15&16📖

"A lady in white gown is outside the gate asking for Oga John"

"Did she mention her name?" Evelyn ask.

"No madam" The gateman replied.

"What's going on there?" John said walking closer to them with Alex on his shoulder.

"He said a lady looking for you" Evelyn said.

John was shocked hearing that because he wasn't expecting anyone,

not even in his mom's house that he just packed in.

He hand over Alex to Evelyn and walk to the gate with the gateman.

He was shocked when he open the gate and saw Maria's car.

"You can go" John said to the gateman and walk closer to Maria's car.

Maria saw him coming and comes out from her car.

"Hi" Maria wave.

John was lost with the appearance of the exquisite lady in his front and could not hear her.

"Damn, what a beautiful damsel, is she an angel,

am feeling h***y already" his subconscious mind mocked as he keep staring at Maria.

"Hey, what's up" Maria said and tap his shoulder which brings him back to life.

"Ha…Ha..Hi" He shuttered.

"What's wrong?" Maria ask pretending not to know what took his attention.

"Nothing, i was just umm, nothing" He said with shaking voice and rubbing his hair.

"Okay if you say so, can we go in now?"

John was silent for a while, turn to look at the gate and turn to Maria again.

"Umm, actually nobody is at home, my mom has gone out and..

"Fine, i think i will take my leave now" Maria cuts in and turned to leave but John grabbed her hand.

"I…I was thinking if we can go out, you know, have some fun and…"

"Fine" Maria cuts in again and free her hand from him.

"Okay, let's go" John said

and Maria gives him a surprise look.

"Really!"

John quickly understand what she mean and giggle.

"Common, i have been like this for many years, i fu***ng don't have anybody's time, it's my life and i will live it the way i like"

Maria scan him from up to down and down to up again and giggle.

"I pray no dog sees you on the road" Maria said and they both laugh.

They got inside the car and belt their selfs.

"Thanks for the recommendation earlier" Maria said.

"Hun" John gasp in shock with his two hands in his head as they drove off.

She lye on the bed facing the ceiling with a deep envision.

Evelyn followed John to the gate and heard everything they said.

She stands up from the bed went to her box and started arranging her clothes.

Maria's car pack infont of a big shoprite and they came.

"I don't know the last time i came here" John said looking around.

"Shall we?" Maria ask.

Everybody started laughing at John immediately they got in.

People keep mocking and laughing at John as they both walk to sit behind.

"I warned you" Maria said with a smile.

"They are the owner of their mouth, and am the owner of my life" John said as they both sit and a waiter approach them immediately.

"Good day ma, good day si.."
the waiter could not complete his words as he burst out of laughter when he sight John's dress.

Actually John was wearing his mother's Top with a black tight jeans and a female slippers of different type.

Maria gave the waiter a warning look and he stop the laugh immediately.

"Come over" John said to the waiter and he obeyed.

"Do you know that my grandma lives more than 300 years?, ask me why"

John said but the waiter still keep quiet.

Are you going to obey me or i should report you to your manager? John asked again.

"Why" The waiter ask slowly.

"Because she always mind her business" John said and descend back on his chair agai.

"I'm sorry sir, sorry ma"

"Give me any chill drink" Maria said.

"And you sir?" The waiter asked facing john.

"Same"

Some moments later

"Maria" John called in a cool voice.

"Mhmm" Maria replied.

John went on his knees stretching his hands on the table with tears gathering on his eyes.

"What the hell are you doing John"? Maria asked with a surprise look.

"I know am a sin, i have hurt you alot that even your shadow hates me,

i knows that God is really angry with me and you are the only one that can free me from this temptation"

"What are you talking about John"? Maria asked again.

Please Maria, am asking you to kindly because of our unborn child, fine somewhere in your heart to forgive me please!!" John said as tears are freely dropping from his eyes.

Maria stared at him for some minutes, then stands up and walk closer to him to raise him up but John refused.

"No Maria, am not standing up till you forgive me, please because of our baby in you, yours, mine, God and because of your wonderful parents Maria,

have mercy please Maria,

forgive me!!!"

John cries out loud which caught everybody's attention on them.

Maria keep staring at him for some minutes with tears forcing out of her eye balls.

People keep chattering from one side or the other.

"I forgive you, for the sake of God,

and for the sake of my parents" Maria said and burst out of tears and John stands up immediately and hug her.
