I mean I get it, if I see something that looks like a zombie, I would most definitely run in the opposite direction. I have a serious and entrenched bias against zombie looking creatures walking in my general direction. And I'm ok with that 🤣

We all have bias, no doubt. Some come from experience and some come from nurturing. Some are useful, and some might be unnecessarily hurtful.

Some might be even hateful.

The thing with bias is that they are often very unconscious. But can be made conscious! And then can be made intentional. Intentionally supported, or intentionally challenged.

As I land back in Toronto, I find myself thinking a lot of the meaning of art and performance. And I'm reminded that art is a the space we have to come together, perhaps to reflect on our shared humanity.

What a year it has been ❤️

The last couple years have been a challenging rollercoaster, both professionally and personally. I had to face the most difficult situation I've had to face until now. And gotta say I am almost thankful for it (key word "almost" 😂). Because of the challenges life has brought me, I am now a stronger, more compassionate, and perhaps most importantly, more self loving human. I know my worth and I have developed a self care practice that feels pretty reliable. And now, I am working alongside talent beyond belief. What an incredible group of humans I get to share the stage with. What a wonderful work...

Long story short, I feel happy 😊. Living my best life.
